This sums up how I felt after visiting the house that I grew up in.
The walls that you jumped off don’t remain so high, the trees that you climbed – not so tall. The gate that you couldn’t close – not so huge anymore, the lanes that you ran in not so long. The house that was so huge, suddenly shrinks, the walls all closing on you. Either you’ve lost the eyes you had as a child – or that home doesn’t exist anymore. Or perhaps, it never did
