A part of me is a child’s mother, and the other needs my mom’s lap

A part of me can comfort anyone, and the other needs free hugs

A part of me is old, and the other daddy’s girl

A part of me is all savvy, and the other all craziness

A part of me is all strong, and the other teary eyed

A part of me is everyone’s rock, and the other raring to lean and rest

A part of me is always in control, and the other all chaos

A part of me knows where I’m headed, and the other all lost

A part of me all fixed goals, and the other a wanderer

A part of me all roots and fixed, and the other wild and free

This part is me and so is the other, I don’t know which one I want to be.
