You were back again

Carrying just a change in your duffel bag

Staying at a nearby hotel

You swung by to meet me

And I promised I’ll come by

And I did – just before dawn

And you met me outside, under the sky

You spread your travel blanket on the soft grass

And you didn’t ask me this time

But you held me in your arms

And you loved me underneath the starry sky

And then you got up to leave

Just as the sun peeked through

And I tried to go back to sleep

So that I dream again

And meet you underneath the beautiful sky.
